Founded in 1973 Reproductive Services was started in San Antonio, Texas, with the mission of providing a high-quality, low-cost alternative to women unable to complete their pregnancies. It was the first nonprofit organization in the Southwest to offer abortion services in an outpatient setting, as well as the first to encompass an affiliated adoption agency. Since its founding, Reproductive Services has added centers in Austin, El Paso, Harlingen, and Tulsa, Oklahoma.
